TPS Only – First-Time Application

Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is a humanitarian immigration status provided to individuals from designated countries experiencing armed conflict, environmental disasters, or other extraordinary conditions. TPS allows eligible applicants to legally remain in the U.S., receive work authorization, and, in some cases, obtain travel authorization.

Eligibility Requirements for First-Time TPS Applicants

To qualify for TPS for the first time, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a national of a TPS-designated country (or a person without nationality who last resided in a designated country).
  • Have continuously resided in the U.S. since the date designated by USCIS.
  • Have been physically present in the U.S. since the effective TPS designation date.
  • Not have serious criminal convictions or violations that would disqualify you.

First-Time TPS Application Process

  1. Filing Form I-821 – We assist in preparing and submitting the Application for Temporary Protected Status with USCIS.
  2. Providing Supporting Documents – We help gather and submit proof of identity, nationality, and residency.
  3. Biometrics Appointment – Applicants must attend a fingerprinting and background check appointment.
  4. Optional Work Permit Application – If you wish to work in the U.S., we can also file Form I-765 for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD).
  5. Tracking Your Case – We monitor your application status and guide you on any additional steps required by USCIS.

Why Apply for TPS?

  • Protection from Deportation – TPS prevents removal from the U.S. while the designation is active.
  • Legal Work Authorization – Apply for an EAD to legally work and support yourself in the U.S.
  • Potential Travel Opportunities – Some TPS holders may apply for Advance Parole to travel internationally.

Our service ensures that your first-time TPS application is accurately prepared and submitted, increasing your chances of approval and avoiding delays.
